Cornball Comics!
OK- it’s been a while since posting; but there’s been plenty going on since 2020! Namely, I’ve moved to another state, I’ve moved my parents to 2 different states, I’m now a grandpa of a beautiful little girl and I recently completed a mini comic called, “Cornball Comics”. And- last year I recorded the busiest year for my school programs in over 12 years; both in-person and virtual residencies and assembly programs! Woo-Hoo! And here we are looking at the start of another school year and I’m ready to go! Getting back to Cornball Comics- it’s a 12-page comic created specifically to give to students who take part in my 4-day artist in residency program, “Kids Make Comics”. It contains some silly laughs, a funny bit about onomatopoeia, a drawing lesson on how to draw “Artie”, my new character. He’s a little COWtoonist- and he always seems to be hip-deep in some sort of mayhem. Since kids are always asking me what my latest project is; I can now hand it to them; and I like the idea of them having something to take home to remember their experience with me. Thanks for reading, I’ll see you in the classroom!
